Here's an easy DIY Dog-Friendly Pumpkin Pie Recipe that's oat and peanut butter-free, perfect for dogs with food allergies like winter. This quick recipe whips up 6 mini pies in no time!
Ingredients:
For Pie Crust
- 1 cup spelt or whole wheat flour ( I think you can use oatflour)
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons applesauce
For Filling
- 1 cup pumpkin puree (not pie filling)
- 1/3 cup Greek yogurt (unsweetened)
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Steps:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Mix the pie filling ingredients and set aside.
3. Combine dough ingredients until forming a ball.
4. Roll out dough on a non-stick surface and cut out 6 circles using a mug.
5. Grease a muffin pan and place the dough cut-outs in the pan.
6. Add the pie filling, tap gently to remove air bubbles.
7. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350°F until the crust turns light brown.
8. Allow it to cool before serving. Enjoy!
